Main Gymnasium:
The Genesys Athletic Club has designated 12,000 sq ft for members interested in playing basketball and volleyball. The gym contains two 84' basketball courts and one NBA-sized cross-court, which also doubles as two volleyball courts. A recessed design provides perfect visibility for spectators.
Adult Fitness Area:
Approximately 14,400 sq ft of the club contains a wide range of state-of-the-art cardiovascular, circuit resistance, and free weight equipment, from companies such as Cybex, Technogym, Stairmaster, Icarian, Ground Zero, Bodymaster, and Ivanko. A "soft" fitness area (approx. 3,000 sq ft) is for those completing cardiac rehabilitation and physical therapy treatment, and for members who need a less intense workout.
Indoor Aquatics Area:
This area includes a beautiful seven-lane lap pool, a large warm water therapy pool, and a resistance pool. A door leads out to a sun deck for summer relaxation. Family swim times and lessons will be available for parents and their children.
Tennis, Racquetball, and Squash Courts:
The Genesys Athletic Club houses11 championship tennis courts, six racquetball courts, and two squash courts. The club offers comprehensive instructional and league tennis programs for members. The glass-backed racquetball and squash courts look out over the main fitness concourse.
Golf Center:
A state-of-the-art golf center includes hitting bays equipped with high-tech A-Star video instruction systems, a play simulator which features over 20 of the world's great courses, and a giant putting green. It is the perfect place to chase away the winter blues by honing your game under the watchful eyes of our professional teaching staff.
Indoor Track:
One of the longest indoor running tracks in the Midwest (4.5 laps to the mile), with a cushioned surface to help protect against injuries and gives members a great place to log their walking and running miles.
Aerobics/Group Exercise:
The Genesys Athletic Club has three large showcase exercise studios, ranging in size from 2,000 to 4,000 sq ft. Cushioned hardwood floors and premium sound systems provide an optimal environment for members to participate in group exercise classes. A wide range of today's most popular group exercise classes are offered, as well as specialty classes such as yoga, kickboxing, zumba and cycling.
Youth Fitness Activities:
Many programs and activities are available for young people, including tennis, basketball, volleyball, swimming, gymnastics, and summer sports and activity camps. The club's well-staffed child care area has three rooms dedicated to specific age groups, with toys and learning activities for members' children.
Locker Rooms/Relaxation Areas:
The club's luxurious locker rooms have all of the amenities you would expect in a world-class athletic club, including large bath towels, a wide selection of toiletries, and grooming stations. Each locker room has a steam room, sauna, whirlpool, and cold plunge, and lockers equipped with electronic locks for daily use and for monthly rental. A special family changing area is provided for parents and their children.
